Begginer's guide
How to drive electric unicycle?
Beginnings can be tough but everyone can learn how to drive unicycle. The same goes as for bicycles – once you learn, you can never forget. Here I will list some personal tips and tricks, how I learned and what it takes to drive unicycle.
Tryouts
It would be best to first attempt driving on a soft surface such as grass or soft-rubbed floor. Holding yourself for something steady and firm will help you get your feet on the EUC without getting freaked out. It will be strange not holding for some kind of steering wheel at first but you will get used to it. Do short swings up and backwards until you get the feeling of being off the ground.
Baby steps
Don't get too comfortable until you are quite sure in yourself. Driving EUC requires more planning then driving a bicycle, you will need more time to brake and do the turns. Try driving short distances with something to hold on at the other end and always have good equipment on you.
Equipment
Having a helmet on you is a must! It can be very easy to lose control at the beginning and not wearing a helmet can cost you much. I would also recommend wearing 3-pack protective pads to prevent severe injuries.
Feeling comfortable?
It is still important to practice! Do not drive on the roads with too much trafic. Take it easy and drive slow. You will eventually get comfortable enough to drive wherever you like, but safety for yourself and others is what is most important here 😀
